Dana 30, 35, 44, Chrysler 8.25 and AMC 20 diff covers are made from hi strength ductile iron, are lipless to prevent hanging up on rocks, bolts are recessed into the casting to help prevent damage to bolt heads, all CHC covers have a lifetime free replacment warranty against breakage. All Crane covers are designed for trail abuse with angles designed to slide over rocks and clear steering linkages. Oil fill holes are placed to increase level to compensate for higher-than-stock pinion angles. Yet, not so high as to create an over fill problem. All cover sealing surfaces are machined flat for proper sealing.
